Guardian Angels Helping to Reach For the Stars!
Our mission is to assist in the continuance, expansion and success of the Morning Star School, helping them to provide academic, social and spiritual development for special needs children.

History

The Morning Star School Auxiliary was created in 1962 by a group of ten committed women who saw an important need for a fundraising group to help Morning Star School in its efforts to educate children with special needs. Forty-seven years ago, those ten women, with fundraising goals in mind, held their first Morning Star School Auxiliary Fashion Show and Luncheon. In April 2008, we will host our forty-sixth!

Today, many of those same women are still an important part of the Morning Star School Auxiliary, and the fashion show has become the Auxiliary’s main fundraising event each year. But today, our Auxiliary is more than two hundred members strong. And today, in addition to hosting the premier fashion show event in Central Florida, we now sponsor a noteworthy fall fundraiser. Additionally, our members assist with the Children’s Boutique, help with Auxiliary mailings, host luncheons for our members with guest speakers, write grants, organize our Santa‘s Elves Shoppe for the Morning Star children to do their holiday shopping, and host our Star Bazaar, our vendor shopping day. We have something of interest for everyone! We work hard, but we have a wonderful time, making lifelong friends along the way. Our reward is the smile we bring to a Morning Star student’s charming face!

We invite you to join us by becoming a member of the Morning Star School Auxiliary for the year 2007-2008. We hope we can count on your support so that the miracles performed each and every day at Morning Star School may continue.
