Tuition

At Morning Star School, we believe that every child has a right to a Catholic School education. We also realize that many of our special needs families face exhausting medical bills and therapies that other families do not have. Therefore, we feel that we have a moral and ethical responsibility to keep our tuition affordable while offering an excellent educational program in a Catholic setting.

For the 2009 - 2010 school year, our tuition is $8,000.00. This is spread over a 10 month period - costing parents $800.00 a month. We have a one-time registration fee of $200.00. We also have an educational fee to assist with the materials needed to individualize students' work. This fee is $100.00. We also accept the McKay Scholarship.

Enrollment

Most parents call and request to see the school. Miss Kathy, the principal, will make an appointment with them. It is best to see the school in the morning, if possible. Our academic program shows how much students can learn in a setting of structure and individualization. However, appointments can be made anytime between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Other times may also be arranged.

It is our preference for parents to bring their child with them, as this provides us with a chance to meet their child, show the family the school, and if possible, see the academic level of their child. Also, if the child has an Individual Education Plan from the public school, it would be helpful to bring a copy.

All students who wish to enroll at Morning Star School attend first on a 6 week trial basis. This provides time for us to see if we feel we will be able to assist this child, and allows the parents time to get to know us and feel completely satisfied with our setting. At the parents request, a shorter trial period may be arranged. Students can usually begin attending Morning Star School right away.

Students wear a school uniform that can be ordered through a uniform company.
